Great work in these days on S. Antonio Island!
\n<\/span>The challenge continues: restoration ex novo<\/em> of Habitat 6210, the arid prairie, in an area where it was not present before. We are in ZSC IT1180027 \u2013 Confluenza Po-Sesia-Tanaro.
\n<\/span>We have already told you about the preparatory intervention for \u201copening\u201d the area, remove invasive woody species, work and level the ground.<\/span><\/p>\n

And now, we are completing the intervention with the distribution of <\/span>fiorume <\/span><\/em>(seeds and parts of native plants)<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0that you can see in the white bags.
\n<\/span>Too bad not being able to smell the scent!!!<\/span><\/p>\n

The <\/span>fiorume<\/span><\/em> is distributed in every direction with density of 13\/14 g\/mq<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>and supplemented with pure seeds.
\n<\/span><\/span>In addition, herbaceous plants typical of Habitat 6210 are planted, such as <\/span>Sedum sexangulare<\/span><\/i>, <\/span>Sedum rupestre, Centaurea deusta, Hypericum perforatum, Dianthus carthusianorum<\/span><\/i>, fescues and other plants typical of arid environments (1.500 seedlings!).<\/span><\/p>\n

The intervention area is about 2.000 m<\/span>2 <\/span>wide.<\/span><\/p>\n

We hope these actions can \u201cstart\u201d a production process of new seeds from plants that gradually assert themselves so that the Habitat 6210 can begin to structure itself.<\/span><\/p>\n
