Sampling of Lapidoptera and monitoring of vegetation

LIFE DrylandsUncategorized

??? On this very hot day at the end of July, the summer monitoring of the LifeDrylands concluded, with the last survey of the vegetation and the last sampling of the Lepidoptera in the H4030.
The work was carried out by a joint UniBO-UniPV team.
Here you can see some pictures from this day, at the areas of intervention of Lenta-Rovasenda (Oriented Natural Reserve of the Baragges).
We admired the first blooms of Calluna vulgaris and also we had a small surprise: during the survey we observed in the plot a very young specimen of  Sympecma paedisca, a wonderful dragonlfy typical of the moors, which constitute its wintering habitat, protected in Europe under the Habitat Directive (Annex IV).
