TODAY 06th July 2021 – 9:30 – 16:30
The first Networking meeting between LifeDrylands and 6 LIFE projects!
Main goals of the Life Drylands project, led by the University of Pavia (Italy), are: restoring, preserving and increasing the environmental biodiversity in dry acidophilic grasslands and heathlands of lowland in Piedmont and Lombardy Regions (Habitats 2330, 4030, 6210/6210*).
The project aims to implement innovative strategies to restore habitat conditions (sod- cutting, top-soil inversion, native and alien species control, and repopulation of typical native species), and new patches of the habitat target (using different vegetal materials, such as harvested seeds, raked sands).
The present webinar networking meeting aims to share and discuss concrete and practical actions on the above-mentioned habitats in order to exchange good practices and strengthen the results of our projects.
As output of this event, we expect to write a report containing the main indications about good practices to conserve and restore dry grasslands and heathlands.
